It's been a while since I've posted a new painting. Last year I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and painted a lovely painting of a past soul for a friend. I don't post those paintings, as they are personal, for everyone involved. 2026 started with the feeling of Renewal for me, here's to "Spring's Here!"

I love showing the steps to a painting. I hope to inspire this passion and I believe people give up way too early in the creative process by how "childish" art can look in the beginning. Keep pushing that paint around until your dream comes alive.....

It all started with this favorite painting I did for Mark. Then he wanted a collage to span our living room wall, one painting to the left lending to the bridge and one on the right with his dream cabin. Got the left side done, now on to the right....

I finished this special painting for my sister's birthday. Sadly, she never got to see it before she passed. She went on her first cruise last Christmas and snapped a picture of this scene. I joked with her that it was a post card, it was so beautiful! She would ask every now and then what I was painting and I would tell her just another boring landscape. I now wished I had let her in on my surprise. She would have loved this rendition of her pic. It is not for sale, it's a special memory of my loving sister.🥰💖
