Program title/date: J. Hollander Living History - Saturday, June 6 at 10:30 AM
Program description: The Pickens County Library and J. Hollander present, "Deerskins & Steel: Trade Between Native Americans & British Colonists," an immersive presentation of early American history in celebration of America250. No registration required. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

More details: The program will include an exhibit of trade items and a functioning replica of a late 17th-early 18th century flintlock musket.

Last night the Pickens Historical Society participated in the Pickens High School Senior Night activities by awarding the winners of the Honea-Worley Scholarship.

Greg Moore, representing the Historical Society, is shown with Raychel Clayton, Kota Crowe and Miah Norton receiving their scholarships and certificate.

If you were notified as a Honorable Mention winner you can pick up your certificate at the Old Jail on Saturdays. Congratulations to all the participants!
