Wonderfully informative history of the Riggs family presented by Joe Riggs. For 45 minutes, Joe shared facts and anecdotes of his family. Here's an example of a "Greetings from" generic postcard. The same image could be - and was - labeled for any number of places as shown here.

The image is accurate - oxen, as well as horses, were used for tilling the soil and hauling loads in our and neighboring areas, and in other states as well.

The final image shows Billy Headley and his ox team at the Dover-Milton/Russia Road intersection.

The Jefferson Township Historical Society award for excellence in American History was presented to Emmagrace Bartels, Alexander DaSiva, and Sebastian Mey. $1000, 500 and 500. Presented by Kathy Dameral,JTHS VP and Geri Harrell, JTHS secretary Congratulations to all.
