Artist Statement | Adversity, resilience and transformation; my mixed media paintings are visual narratives on the fragility of human connections. Through my paintings I communicate what I believe is the essence of humanity along a journey of shared paths.

Many of the artworks in this exhibition celebrate women and the fine line they walk in a world that often doesn’t embrace their desire to achieve equality.

The paintings illuminate the complexity of relationships; declarations of love, intimacy and uncertainly intersect one another against a backdrop of social commentary. Letters cut from magazines imply conversation.

Resilience is a theme that reverberates throughout my work and life.

Artist Statement | Celebrating the greatness of this youthful main figure, this piece acknowledges the history of The Great Migration in America as a backdrop to his uncontainable spirit. He literally leaps over the images of a moving train, a dry field, and a shanty house. It is a visual representation of triumph and strength.
