The Gibson Gyratory mill is one of two in the world that we know of . The other is in California, much larger but same exact design.
This is a mill that uses the same idea as a mortar and pestle. Designed in the late 1800’s, it was used to prospect various sites by miners looking to produce precious metals. We have brought this one back to life using a 1917 electric motor along with a water circulating system to move the sluice material. It’s great to see old history come back to life.
Come see us at the Gold King Mine and we might be able to show you a demonstration 👍👍🤠

Did you know Gizmo is Don’s last living animal here at the GKM? At about 18 years old, he is still making his rounds. He loves to hang out on the counter to greet you and sometimes he will even greet you at your car.

He’s slowing down, but is still giving our customers the biggest smiles and of course most have to take pictures of him.

He’s ready for Christmas and even has his own sticker now. So next time you’re in, make sure you grab one!

Have you had the pleasure of meeting Gizmo?!
