Mark your calendars! Backroom Arts must bid adieu for now. We are losing our space as our studio mate who holds the lease, Guillermo is giving up the space....

We are of course actively seeking a replacement space, but at the moment, none is available. While we are hopeful that this is only a temporary hurdle, we would like to be able to bring together our friends and supporters so we can thank you in person. Hope you can make it.

Sunday May 19th from 1 to 4, (this is the time the doors downstairs are officially open), however if you are running late, please let us know and we will get you in!

Brian McCormack: the Tribute Show Open Call

In order to honor artist, curator and one of the founders of Hamilton Street Gallery, Brian McCormack, the Watchung Arts Center will be hosting a short-term exhibition, Brian McCormack: The Tribute Show.

If you have ever shown artwork at Hamilton Street Gallery, you are invited to submit a piece of work that was hung in any Hamilton Street Gallery exhibit. DETAILS: The work must have been in any exhibit at the Hamilton Street Gallery. It cannot be larger than 36 inches in any dimension. It MUST be able to hang on a hook on the wall (sorry, no sculpture!) Any media is fine. Maximum weight 25 pounds. Only 1 piece per artist. Works that include violence, or sexual situations may not be accepted and will be not be included in the exhibit.

There is no fee for this exhibit. Please send a jpeg of the work to [email protected]
