The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating an 18-year-old man wanted in connection with a double fatal shooting that occurred in Jersey City on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Treshawn Daniels of Jersey City has been charged with murder, attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello announced.

According to authorities, shortly after 1 a.m. on May 18, the Jersey City Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 109-111 Old Bergen Road. Responding officers found two men unresponsive inside a residence with apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Luis Quintero, 53, and Kenneth Darby, 52, both of Jersey City. Both were taken to Jersey City Medical Center where they were pronounced deceased.

Authorities warned that Daniels should not be approached. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office at 201-915-1345 or submit an anonymous tip at hcpo.org/tips. All information will be kept confidential.

These charges are accusations. Daniels is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
