While the mortals in the Boneyard and the suits at Greed Corp think they are the protagonists, they are really just actors in a production managed by Zhing Zhang, Cubeface, and their floor manager, Mr. Moonlight.
The Scripted Ends
The curators are betting on a "Great Becoming," but they are hedging their bets between two distinct finales:
The Preferred Ending: Rocket Kid "becoming faster," actualizing his potential to usher in the Rebel King.
The Wildcard: Shadow Khann’s reawakening—a chaotic anomaly that threatens the "original script."
The Show-Stopper: THAYGEN
If the "flux and flow" of New Haven breaks or deviates too far into the chaos of Shadow Khann, the curators pivot to the scorched-earth policy. Thaygen isn't a character; he is the Full Stop.
The Role: The Harbinger of Ends.
The Function: To deliver the "final act" the Gods paid for, even if that means destroying the entire stage.
The Nature: Unstoppable destruction. Once Thaygen is unleashed on Rocketville and New Haven, the story is over.
The Final Act Protocol: If the timeline fails to produce the Rebel King or the Shadow Khann anomaly becomes unmanageable, Mr. Moonlight is authorized to signal Thaygen. A cosmic reset.
