Iā€™m such a proud mama. šŸ„¹ā¤ļø

From January through May, every late night, every meeting, every submission, every hard decisionā€¦ all leads to this moment. Every single year when we announce the Official Selections LIVE and I get to see the filmmakers react in real time, it hits me emotionally all over again. šŸ˜­šŸ˜­šŸ„¹šŸ„¹

What weā€™re building through BBFF is bigger than a film festival. Itā€™s community. Itā€™s visibility. Itā€™s purpose. Itā€™s proof that Black & Brown femme stories deserve space, celebration, and audiences that truly see them.

To our filmmakers: thank you for trusting us with your art, your vulnerability, and your dreams.

What a night. A full-on celebration of Black and Brown film and spoken wordā€”energy, beauty, truth in every corner. Packed house, sold out, and the room felt it.
