Happy National Brothers Day! 👬

To celebrate, let's look back at the sibling partnership that started it all. In 1910, J.C. Hall arrived in Kansas City with little more than two shoeboxes full of postcards and a dream. His brother Rollie soon followed, and together they built what would become
Hall Brothers—the foundation of the Hallmark we know and love today.

It's a reminder that some of the most enduring things in the world start with family. 💛

Did you know that over 1,000 PEANUTS® comic strips are devoted to baseball? ⚾

For decades, Charlie Brown and his team have been swinging for the fences—and usually missing. Whether it's Lucy missing an easy pop fly, Snoopy napping at shortstop, or Charlie Brown getting knocked clean out of his shoes by a line drive, the gang's baseball
antics are legendary.

And just like our hometown heroes, the Kansas City Royals, they never give up! Rain or shine, win or lose, Charlie Brown always shows up—a true manager at heart. 💙

⚾ Fun Fact: The Royals even teamed up with PEANUTS® for a special edition 2025 jersey—a perfect blend of America's pastime and comic strip charm!

Come celebrate the spirit of the game at PEANUTS® now on view at the Hallmark Visitors Center!

Today, we celebrate the wonderful mothers who nurture our homes and inspire our communities. 💛

At Hallmark, that spirit of motherhood is woven into the very fabric of our brand—and nowhere is that more evident than in the Hall family legacy.

Elizabeth Ann Dilday, wife of founder J.C. Hall, was a cornerstone of both Hallmark and Kansas City. Together with her husband, she co-founded the Hall Family Foundation in 1943, with a vision to uplift well-being, promote the health and happiness of children,
and expand opportunity for all. Her compassion and commitment to community continue to shape the values that guide Hallmark today.

Adele Coryell Hall, wife of Don Hall Sr., carried that torch with equal grace. A devoted mother and tireless champion for children and families in need, Adele embodied kindness, leadership, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child. Her generosity
and warmth continue to inspire us.

To all mothers, past and present—thank you. Your love shines in every card, blooms in every message, and glows in every act of kindness shared today. 🌸

On April 10, we were thrilled to welcome Senior Artist Jack Pullan to our Hallmark LIVE! program in celebration of our SHOEBOX card line’s 40th anniversary!

For more than 20 years, Jack has brought both heart and unforgettable humor through his continuous work on greeting cards, gift wrap, specialty gifts, and licensed-partnership retail merchandise. His product designs show off his careful linework and sharp wit, creating notable synergy between original sentiments and their final representations.

Throughout his Hallmark career as an illustrator, Jack has worked alongside a variety of writers and designers and has “stocked the pantry” with a wonderful and hilarious collection of designs — including “taco cat,” one of his favorite creations. His versatile work includes applications on a wide range of greeting cards, including die-cut, embossing, light and sound, and pop-ups. What an incredible asset to Hallmark and a true gem for our in-house creative team.

Thank you, Jack Pullan, for sharing your fascinating story and Shoebox portfolio with our intrigued visitors during April’s Hallmark LIVE!

"Take Your Child to Work Day" holds a special place in Hallmark's story.

Alongside founder J.C. Hall, his son Don Sr. grew up learning the business firsthand—and the tradition continued with Don Sr.'s sons, Dave and Don Hall Jr. Each generation grew up tagging along with Dad, discovering the creativity, business savvy, and technical
skills that make Hallmark the brand it is today.

In that same spirit, we invite you to bring your child to our workplace! Drop by the Hallmark Visitors Center any time between 10 AM and 4 PM (Tuesday–Saturday) to explore our current exhibits together. Celebrate our iconic Peanuts® partnership, try our newest
Seek & Find game, watch our artists create Disney characters live, and make a personalized bow at our famous bow machine!

Hey, World. Happy Earth Day!

Protecting our planet starts with simple choices that spark positive change. We are proud to lean into conscientious practices in thoughtful ways and to do so alongside Hallmark’s broader commitment to Sustainability.

Upcycled ribbon from our Leavenworth production site is used in our featured bow-making machine. The Seek & Find, our free visitors’ activity, is recycled and redeemed for fun sticker sheets, donated from past stock and repurposed at our front desk for guests to enjoy. Cards in our gift shop are of paper sourced from responsibly managed forests. Remnant paper becomes notepads at our front desk or is used as protective packing for gift shop shipments instead of bubble wrap. The shop offers specialty reusable bags with holiday-season purchases, and we sell sturdy mugs and washable travel bottles for continued enjoyment.

Seasonal cards and three‑dimensional materials are upcycled into creative supplies at Kaleidoscope, the free art‑making studio for children, located just next door to the Visitors Center. Our staff recycles, contributes to compost, and collects obsolete electronics for e‑waste recycling. We are continually finding creative ways to minimize waste and make our operations more earth-friendly. Even our grand “The Four Seasons” mural in our lobby reflects the delicate seasons of the year, reminding us of the atmosphere we commit to caring for; it must be preserved for the future.

Environmental progress grows from choosing to act every single day. Today, we celebrate Earth Day and recognize the many we can protect our planet. When we act together, meaningful change becomes possible. Every action counts!
