The Euclid TC-12 was a crawler tractor (bulldozer) produced by the Euclid Road Machinery Company in the mid-20th century. Known for its rugged construction and strong pulling power, the TC-12 was designed for heavy earthmoving, mining, and construction work. It featured a diesel engine and a durable track system that allowed it to operate effectively on rough and uneven terrain. Euclid, founded in the 1920s in Ohio, built a reputation for reliable off-highway equipment, especially haul trucks and tractors. The TC-12 reflected the company’s focus on strength, simplicity, and productivity in demanding jobsite conditions worldwide.

The Euclid belly dump, also known as the bottom-dump haul truck, was a pioneering earthmoving machine developed during the mid-20th century, especially prominent in the 1940s–1960s construction boom. Built by Euclid, a leader in heavy haulage equipment, these trucks featured a center-mounted dump gate that released material beneath the chassis, allowing fast, controlled spreading while moving. They revolutionized road building, dam construction, and large-scale grading by improving efficiency and accuracy. The Euclid belly dump helped define modern hauling systems and influenced the design of today’s articulated dump trucks and scraper-hauler combinations.
