Honored to share that a work by AJ Oishi has been selected by the Artsy curatorial team as part of their featured collection celebrating AAPI Heritage Month.
Created through an incredibly meticulous process, Oishi’s paintings are composed of thousands of small dots made using the eraser of a No. 2 pencil dipped in paint — circles built from circles, layer by layer. The result is both meditative and mesmerizing: colors softly flowing from one to another, creating works that feel at once dynamic and deeply calming.

There is an exacting precision to Oishi’s practice that speaks to her detailed and thoughtful approach, yet the finished works retain an organic sense of movement and emotion. Pushing to Grow beautifully captures that balance between structure and fluidity, patience and energy.

We’re thrilled to see this work recognized by Artsy and excited to share it as part of Summertide, opening this week at KW Contemporary Art — our 6th annual summer kick-off exhibition celebrating the vibrancy, movement, and light of the season.

Recently installed in Boston: a large-scale corporate collection featuring 40 original works curated by KW Contemporary Art.

The collection brings together works by Alexandra Squire, Elisa Sheehan, Lawrence Morton, and AJ Oishi — creating a balance of texture, movement, color, and calm throughout the space.

Projects like these are always about more than filling walls. We work to create a cohesive visual experience that feels elevated, intentional, and inspiring to live and work within every day.

Fashion is art. Art is Fashion.

Last night’s Met Gala reminded us just how fluid that boundary truly is. From sculptural silhouettes echoing Venus de Milo to painterly references reminiscent of Georges Seurat and the gilded romance of Gustav Klimt—the night was a masterclass in interpretation.

We couldn’t help but see reflections of it all within our own walls. These are just a few pairings that stopped us in our tracks—KW works that capture the same energy, texture, and point of view as the fashion moments themselves.

So many unforgettable looks, each one a reminder that inspiration is never confined to a single medium—it moves, evolves, and reappears in ways that feel entirely new.
