Rocks/Trees/Sky, Reid State Park, Oil on Canvas, +prints
Maine has so many beautiful State Parks that it is really difficult to say which one is my favorite. As a matter of fact, the beauty of Maine is really very much defined by the arresting beauty and accessibility of our amazing State Park system. Reid State Park is an etherial vision of rocks, trees, dramatic ocean, and sky. One of the unique visual pleasures of Reid State Park is walking up the paths through the rock cliffs making your way through the rosa rugosa and pine, and then being always surpised by the bold ocean views. "Path to a View" is my visual interpretation of this feeling.

Comment: Lobster3 > to get this print! Three Lobster Boats was a private commission by a collector who visited Kennebunk and was delighted by the boats in the harbor. They wanted me to transform the scene into a riot of pointillist color. This one is one of my best selling prints now.
