Join Seashore Trolley Museum in beautiful Kennebunkport, Maine for our 26th Annual Pumpkin Patch Trolley, taking place Friday-Sunday September 27-29, Friday-Sunday October 4-6, Friday-Monday October 11-14, and Friday-Sunday October 18-20. This event is the perfect fall event for families and friends of all ages to enjoy! Trolley rides to t

he pumpkin patch depart on our heritage railway from our Visitors Center at 9:45AM,10:30AM, 11:15AM, 12:00PM, 12:45PM, 1:30PM, 2:15PM and 3:00PM. Following a 30-minute ride, guests disembark the trolley at the pumpkin patch, where each member in your group can select a pumpkin to take home, even the adults! Guests hop back on the trolley for a ride back to our Visitors Center, where several museum and family activities are available:

Activities include:

Pumpkin Painting! Leave it out to dry while you enjoy other activities. Craft in a Bag! Make it at the event or take it home with you. Prize Walk! Round and round a circle of pictures you go; when the music stops, find a picture to stand next to. We spin the wheel and if your picture comes up, you win a prize! Play as many times as it takes to win. Photo Scavenger Hunt! Take the Seashore Challenge and go on a photo scavenger hunt around campus, using your phone to document your progress. When you're finished, post them to one of our social media pages, and you will be entered for a chance to win a 2025 Seashore Family Membership. Enjoy our Museum! Explore three carhouses filled with beautiful, restored trolleys and several other precious transit artifacts around our outdoor campus. Check out our new Maine Central Model Railroad Building. Costumes are Encouraged at our event! We will be giving out prizes each day for Best Costume, following a social media contest. If you would like to participate, make sure one of our staff takes your photo (and we'll be walking around to make sure we don't miss anyone). Food trucks: Bubba Frye's on the Fly (menu included in the image section) will be present every Saturday, Sunday and the Monday, and The Treat Truck will be present on Fridays 10/4, 10/11, and 10/18. The museum has several picnic areas and you are welcome to bring a lunch to enjoy outdoors, or inside our Exhibit Room. Trolley Museum Admission during Pumpkin Patch is:

All Aboard! This is the final boarding call for Seashore Trolley Museum’s 27th Annual Pumpkin Patch Trolley event, taking place three more days this Friday-Sunday October 17-19. The event runs from 9:30AM-4:30PM each day, rain or shine.

Pumpkin Patch Trolley is the perfect fall adventure for families and friends of all ages to enjoy. Come out to beautiful Kennebunkport, Maine to enjoy a 30-minute trolley ride on a heritage railway to the Pumpkin Patch. Each guest selects a pumpkin to take home (even the adults!). Back at the Museum’s Visitors Center, guests can paint their pumpkins and enjoy the Cookie Walk, a photo scavenger hunt, craft room, festive fall photo backdrops across campus, and more! All these activities are included in the price of admission.

Costumes are encouraged; a social media costume contest will take place following each event day and winners receive a free 2026 Family Membership to Seashore Trolley Museum.

Lunch will be available. Museum volunteers will be serving a $5 or less menu on Friday 10/17. Crepe Elizabeth will be serving lunch on Saturday 10/18 and Sunday 10/19.

It’s Friday 10/10, the start of a 4-day stretch of Pumpkin Patch Trolley! We hope you’ll join us; we’re open until 4:30PM and the last trolley to the pumpkin patch departs at 3 PM each event day.

Pick out your very own pumpkin from our patch, win a freshly baked cookie at the Cookie Walk, and see so many exhibits and displays.

This Saturday 10/11 we’re also hosting the Children’s Entrepreneur Market from 10AM-2PM. At our Saturday Pumpkin Patch Trolley event this weekend, we're doing something different and fun that we think Seashore Nation will enjoy! The Children's Entrepreneur Market will be joining us from 10AM-2PM. Shop from over 40 young entrepreneurs selling handmade crafts, baked goods, artwork, and creative products — all made by kids! 🛍️✨ It’s a wonderful way to support their hard work and inspire the next generation of local business leaders.

Today is our first day of Pumpkin Patch Trolley at Seashore Trolley Museum! We'll be holding this event Fridays-Sundays from September 26 through October 19 and Monday October 13.

This adventure is the perfect fall event for families and friends of all ages to enjoy! Following a 30-minute trolley ride on our heritage railway, guests disembark at the pumpkin patch where each member in your group can select a full-size pumpkin to take home, even the adults! Guests hop back on the trolley for a ride back to our Visitors Center, where several museum and family activities are available like Pumpkin Painting, a Cookie Walk, Photo Scavenger Hunt, Craft Room, endless trolley and transportation exhibits and displays, a model railroad building, and more!

Thank you Anderson Farms & Farmer's Daughters Farm Stand! They’ve provided our Pumpkin Patch Trolley pumpkins for decades. Even though we don’t have the best forecast today, we’ve had more guests than we were expecting so they brought us out a fresh pumpkin delivery within 45 minutes of us ordering it. Support your local farmers!

More great weather is ahead for our third weekend of Pumpkin Patch Trolley! We hope you'll join us for this fun, fall activity all ages will enjoy today-Monday October 11-14. Can't make it this weekend? There's still one pumpkin patch weekend left, next Friday-Sunday October 18-20.

Trolley rides to the pumpkin patch depart on our heritage railway from our Visitors Center at 9:45AM,10:30AM, 11:15AM, 12:00PM, 12:45PM, 1:30PM, 2:15PM and 3:00PM. Following a 30-minute ride, guests disembark the trolley at the pumpkin patch, where each member in your group can select a pumpkin to take home, even the adults! Guests hop back on the trolley for a ride back to our Visitors Center, where several museum and family activities are available. Activities include pumpkin painting, a cookie walk, photo scavenger hunt, festive fall photo backdrops, crafts, and our traditional museum offerings, including our new model railroad building.

Costumes are Encouraged! We give out prizes each day for Best Costume, following a social media contest. If you would like to participate, make sure one of our staff takes your photo (and we'll be walking around to make sure we don't miss anyone).

Food Truck & Lunch: We're excited to welcome The Treat Truck on Fridays 10/11 and 10/18. Due to a food truck cancellation, our volunteers will be providing lunch on Saturday-Monday 10/12-10/14 and Saturday-Sunday 10/19-10/20; all proceeds benefit the museum. All menu items are under $5 and include hamburgers/cheeseburgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, and sliced apples with caramel sauce. The museum has several picnic areas and you are welcome to bring a lunch to enjoy outdoors, or inside our Exhibit Room.
