THE LIGHT SHINES!

June 1, 2026

Tonight, the 1866 Kenosha (Southport) Lighthouse Shines In Loving Memory of Shannon Joseph

February 2, 1995 – June 1, 2021

Ode to Shannon Joseph.
A beautiful soul. Beloved by many. Shannybabe to his mom, Shan the man to his dad. Soulmate to his wife, Kitty. Crannon to his sister. Friend to all. So kind, so loving, so funny, so helpful, so gorgeous. Always helping others. Beloved uncle, nephew and grandson. Lover of penguins, birds, and RX8s. Cherished and missed beyond words can express. A gentle soul gone too soon.

Tonight, the 1866 Kenosha (Southport) Lighthouse Shines In Loving Memory of Sharon Knecht Trudeau

As we lay Sharon’s ashes to rest this weekend,
we honor our mother —
a beacon to so many and always a safe harbor to us.
Her love, strength, and kindness
guided us throughout our lives, and even now,
we still find ourselves knowing
exactly what her advice would be.
Tonight, the light at Southport shines in her memory.
Forever loved, forever guiding us home.

Tonight, the 1866 Kenosha (Southport) Lighthouse Shines In Loving Memory of Pat Wepking

March 1, 1966 – May 29, 2025

One year without you. Without your advice,
without your jokes, without your expertise,
without your support. Without your hugs,
without your laugh, without your smile,
without your love.
The world is a little less bright without you in it.
This has been the hardest year of our lives.
You made challenges that may have
seemed insurmountable a breeze,
and always managed to make the best days even better.
You were taken from us before we were ready,
with so much love and memories
still meant to be shared.
We miss you more than words can say.
Love, Denise, Kelly, and Haley, your pups,
the grandkids, and everyone else who loved you so much.
Take it easy!

THE LIGHT SHINES!

Tonight, the 1866 Kenosha (Southport) Lighthouse Shines In Loving Memory of Dale E. Durden

September 1, 1949 – May 17, 2021

There are names that echo softly,
like wind through open fields—
yours is one of them, Dale,
steady, familiar, and kind.
You were the quiet strength in the room,
the one who didn’t need the spotlight
to be seen,
because your presence spoke louder
than any words ever could.
In laughter shared and moments small,
in stories told a hundred times,
you built a life not measured in years
but in the lives you touched along the way.
The world feels a little different now—
a space unfilled, a chair unclaimed—
yet traces of you remain everywhere:
in the warmth of memory,
in the lessons you left behind,
in the love that does not fade.
So we carry you forward, Dale,
not just in sorrow,
but in gratitude- for having you has a husband, father but perhaps his greatest joy
was found in the simple, sacred title of Papa.

Though he is deeply missed,
the imprint of his love remains—
strong, steady, and everlasting.
Your loving family,
Paxten, Laura, Amy, Rich, Kathy
