What's going on at the Kilmarnock Museum?

Do you know Robbie Spiers?

Headline - Stop the Music! Cops Handcuff Band Leader Because Musicians Marched Too Slow!

Watch the video to hear the story told by Robbie himself. "How the heck did that happen?"

His advice to other band directors? "Just keep doing your thing and do it in a positive way. Represent your community with the best possible music, the best possible kids and do it with a sense of pride. I say 99.9% chance you will not have a problem."

DID YOU KNOW

The Kilmarnock Museum is in its 3rd and final location located in Kilmarnock, Virginia in a house built in the 1800's. A town welder, Fred Ward, lived here. His shop was just across the street. His daughter, Betty Ward, grew up in the home and recently passed away at the age of 97.

The museum is dedicated to preserving and presenting the rich history of Kilmarnock and the surrounding areas.

The museum was established by a group of local residents who recognized the need to preserve the area's unique history.
