⚡ COLLECTION SPOTLIGHT: 2000 Corbin Motors Sparrow
With its bright teal body and unmistakable shape, the Corbin Sparrow is one of the most eye-catching electric vehicles in the HEVF collection.
Developed during the 1990s, the Sparrow was designed as a compact solution for everyday commuting. It carried one person, traveled on three wheels and ran entirely on electricity—years before modern electric vehicles became a familiar sight on American roads.
Its official name was the Personal Transportation Module, and its small footprint allowed it to be classified as a motorcycle in the United States. Only about 300 Sparrows were produced, making surviving examples an unusual part of modern EV history.
Our 2000 Corbin Motors Sparrow helps tell the story of the innovators who continued experimenting with electric transportation between the earliest EVs and today’s mass-produced models.
Would you have driven a Sparrow as your daily commuter?
