When I worked at the gallery on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, CA, I was fortunate to meet many influential people. One person in particular was Sheikh Mohammed, the Supreme Ruler of Dubai. I was tasked with cataloging his personal collection of Islamic pottery, which contained many Persian Kashan and Nishapor slip painted bowls and vessels. It was a fabulous project and I learned a lot about ancient pottery techniques.

For the occasion of ‘Art Under The Stars: La Conner Gallery Nights’ Cassera Gallery presents, ‘Joe Reno; Reflections’ 100 Vintage portraits from the Barnhart Collection. Opening Reception Saturday.

Now in his 80s Seattle Artist, Joe Reno has been a fixture in the northwest art scene for decades. Throughout the years, The Barnhart family has amassed one of the largest collections of Joe Reno paintings known. For this occasion, I have curated dozens of portraits and self portraits from the collection for an imersive exhibition opening November 16 and coinciding with the La Conner ‘art under the stars’ local gallery art walk.
