Sad to see the passing of Kevin Kramer, who contributed greatly to the White Trash Gallery project, and was a wonderful friend and neighbor. My heart goes out to his daughter and family

Kevin Roy Kramer, 39 of Peru, passed away on January 15th, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, surrounded by those he loved the most.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, at Senica's Oak Ridge Banquet Hall with Rev. Ronald Margherio OSB officiating. Burial will be at Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, January 23, at Senica's Oak Ridge Banquet Hall from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.

The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle has been entrusted with Kevin's arrangements.

I'm pretty late in the game on the passing of Kenneth Anger: the news somehow got past me til now. That said, one of my earliest favorite books was "Hollywood Babylon" - not the usual reading of 7 year olds, but it clearly explains a lot about grown up White Trash Peg...

kenneth anger was the consummate underground artist, and his dedication to scraping out projects on a shoestring budget that were also essentially un-marketable to the great, stinking masses should be a beacon of inspiration to anyone with a flicker of real, actual creativity in their bones during this age of Instagram filters and GoFundMe con jobs. Dreams of Cashing In has never been the spark that lit any creative project that was actually worth a s**t in the end.

If you're unfamiliar with his work, and think you can stomach a few blood or**es, pen*ses that shoot off bottle rockets, and chicken hawking on Bobby Beausoleil, then you should peruse some videos and articles about the antics of Kenneth Anger's incredibly unique life. It's worth it just for the stories about his being perpetually out-bid by Mr money-bags Jimmy Page for auctioned off Alistair Crowley paintings.
