A very special thank you to everyone who attended our book chat on Sunday, June 14th! Guests had the opportunity to chat with Jon Blecha, author of the book "Ci**rs and Wires"!
Jon retired from the Omaha Police Department after 32 years of service. Part of his career, Jon worked in the Intelligence Unit. There, he gained a special insight into Omaha's underworld. Through this insight, determination and a tremendous amount of research, "Ci**rs and Wires" was created!
For those unfamiliar with this treasure, Jon Blecha opened the window into Omaha's shady past, showing the reader why political reform was a dire necessity. "Ci**rs and Wires" is a well-researched history of Omaha's criminal underworld from 1911 to the late 1970's. It is also filled with seldom seen photos of criminals and their locales. It's a must for the dedicated researcher as well as crime buffs!
