Out of the Park and down the bayou! 🛶🐊

Our team spent a little time away from this week for some much-needed time together, reflecting on a year full of growth, celebrating milestones we've reached, and dreaming up what's next!

And what better way to spend a team retreat than exploring a little more of the beautiful place we call home?

A HUGE thank you to our friends at Vermilionville and Bayou Vermilion District for hosting us and taking us on a swamp tour! We loved learning more about the important conservation work happening along the Vermilion River and connecting with another organization that shares our passion for protecting and preserving Acadiana's natural spaces.

We have a lot to be proud of this year and even more to look forward to. Here's to the team working behind the scenes! 💚

Tunica-Biloxi Chairman Marshall Pierite has been appointed to the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee!

Selected by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Chairman Pierite will serve alongside fellow Tribal leaders to provide recommendations on federal tax policies affecting Tribal governments, businesses and citizens nationwide.

With more than 30 years of experience in Tribal governance and economic development, Chairman Pierite will continue advocating for policies that strengthen Tribal sovereignty, support economic growth and create opportunities for future generations.

Congratulations to Chairman Pierite on this well-deserved appointment and his continued commitment to representing the interests of Tribal communities nationwide!

A familiar name to Cajun and Zydeco music fans, Horace Trahan is bringing a trio to Blackpot that’s sure to keep the dance floor moving!

Featuring Horace Trahan on accordion, Kent August on guitar, and Dylan Babineaux on keyboard, the trio brings together three talented South Louisiana musicians for a set packed with the sounds of Cajun and Zydeco music.

Horace has been keeping people dancing for years with The Ossun Express, and this trio gives you another chance to hear his unmistakable accordion playing and vocals in a different setting.

Get ready for some traditional Cajun music with The Holiday Playgirls!

The Holiday Playgirls are bringing plenty of Cajun French music to Blackpot on Saturday, October 31st, and you’ll have two chances to join in on the fun!

Created by Juliane Mahoney and Renee Reed, and joined by Mark Latiolais on guitar and Jimmy Breaux on drums, the Playgirls dig deep into the Cajun tradition, mixing familiar favorites with new and lesser-heard tunes.

Their music pays tribute to generations of musicians, from the sounds of Joe Falcon to Jason Frey and many more, while bringing their own style to the music they love.

Catch The Holiday Playgirls hosting the Cajun Jam on the porch of the Chapel Stage October 30th AND performing on the Cookoff Stage on October 31st!

Bring your instrument for the jam, bring your dancing shoes for the show, or better yet, come for both!
