Teens and adults - Lafayette Skate Jam is back!
🛹After an epic first year, we’re doing it again. The outdoor rink and skate park will be buzzing with music, skating, and nonstop summer vibes. 🤘Catch a DJ set from DJ Dave with Tier Two Live, then stick around for live performances from local teen bands. 🍧Grab cold treats from food trucks, check out surprise pop-ups from local partners, and hang with your crew. It emphasizes that erasure cannot silence what is carried in the body and inherited through lived experience, imagination, and ancestral knowledge. As a continually evolving collective, Black Futures in Art celebrates a resilient, unbroken continuum of voices, brilliance, and cultural presence.

Black Futures in Art is curated by Adderly Grant-Lord and brings together contemporary Black artists working across mediums to reimagine legacy, community, and the futures they are actively building.
