Commissioned artwork by Dasha Guilliam looks stunning in this gorgeous home. Art enthusiasts fell in love with Dasha’s art, but needed a specific size for their wall. So they commissioned her to create a unique mixed-media for them, including their favorite shade of blue. They couldn’t be more pleased with the result, and it is particularly striking within an otherwise minimalist space.

Something to keep in mind when shopping for art: many artists are able and happy to create a special piece for you. So, if you find the artist whose work you love, but it’s not the right size, color, or some other attribute, ask if the artist accepts commissions.

“A Matter Of Time” by artist Alan Murray (1945-2021).

We lost a great artist a few years ago. He emerged into the art world in the 1970’s. His first one-man show was at the A. Trevor Gallery in Los Angeles, with subsequent showings in Houston, Chicago, New Orleans, and Laguna Beach. His art is widely published as limited edition prints and collectible plates.

Murray’s romantic style is reminiscent of the Pre-Raphaelites, painted in warm tones, with luscious backgrounds. In his forefront, he will often have elegant women and whimsical children. “It is not only the physical aspect of beauty that I try to express in my work, but that which is deeper and more elusive, a radiance to be felt rather than seen.”
