Dancing for our history, our culture, our future 🇼🇸❤️

Yesterday, June 1st, we celebrated the independence of Samoa.

As we honor the strength our ancestors and beauty of our traditions, may we always carry the spirit and our pride with every step that continues to unite us!

Happy Independence Day, Samoa!

“If other communities are poor, we too remain poor. If they prosper, we also prosper.”— Ratu Sir Lala Sakuna

Last Saturday, May 30th, we celebrate the monumental impact of Ratu Sukuna known as the National Father of Modern Fiji. Promoting unity was one of the key achievements of his, by bridging the gap between indigenous Fijian and Indo-Fijian, it created Fiji’s multicultural society.

Just like here in Polynesian Cultural Center, we connect our visitors to the Polynesian islands and its culture. By learning about hula to haka and so much more activities here at the Center, we create a community that will appreciate every culture and differences.

You don’t need a nautical map to cross the Pacific 🧭

Isn’t that fascinating?

Did you know that Polynesians don’t rely on modern tools when traveling long distances in the ocean because of wayfinding— where the wind, stars and the feel of the journey are the only thing helping them to navigate their way 🌊

Come visit and learn more about wayfinding here at the Polynesian Cultural Center!

DM us on how to get tickets or go to polynesia.com for more information.
