The ICM serves as a repository of historical artifacts of the Imperial Calcasieu region, and hosts numerous exhibits. Our mission is to support visual arts & artists, maintain a strong arts education program, and preserve the unique culture and history of the region.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Culinary Canvas such a beautiful celebration of art, culture, cuisine, and community.

The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) is providing an upcoming camp opportunity at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum! "Set the Scene" is a Theatre Prop Summer Camp geared towards students ages 12 - 17. Our instructor, McNally Sislo, is a NOCCA Entertainment and Production Design alum with nearly 20 years of experience in theatrical, apparel, and interior design.

Calling all creative teens ages 13–18! Whether your sketchbook is always full, your notes are covered in doodles, your camera roll is packed with inspiration pictures, or your brain is constantly overflowing with ideas, Teen Studio Week is made for you. 🖌️🎧📸

Join us at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum for a week full of creativity, experimentation, music, self expression, and hands on artmaking in a relaxed studio environment designed just for teens. Explore painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, creative projects, and artistic techniques while connecting with other young creatives who love art just as much as you do.

This is more than just an art camp. It is a creative space to experiment, make mistakes, try new things, get inspired, and create artwork that actually feels personal and original. No pressure. No perfection. Just creativity, imagination, and a place to let your ideas come to life. ⚡🖤✨

Culinary Canvas has taken over the showroom floor of the Imperial Calcasieu Museum, and this is just the first stop! The busses are warming their engines as we begin preparations to go to our next stop at the Historic City Hall.

Guests are currently enjoying foods by Chef Gabrielle Wainwright and work from resident artist Adrienne Romero. They also bask in the bronze works and legacy of Enrique Alferez.
