Sharon Warman Agnor's "In The Mystery" has moved!

As the winner of the 2025 People's Choice Award, the artwork was added to the Lake Oswego Public Art Collection. Shortly thereafter, we started to plot and scheme where the piece should live. Sure, it looked good on 2nd halfway between A and B, but… what if there was an even better spot?

In The Mystery now resides at the entrance to the so-new-it-hasn't-opened-yet Lake Oswego Middle School, just off Country Club Road!

Speaking of People's Choice, this year's vote is live. Lake Oswego residents and workers can vote by mail, online, and in-person at voting stations in City Hall, LORAC, Adult Community Center, the library, and at Artspace Gallery.

Each year the Arts Council presents the public with pieces from the rotating collection which meet the criteria for the City of Lake Oswego's permanent collection. This year’s ballot features four sculptures currently on display downtown. In alphabetical order, they are: Evasila by MacRae Wylde (3rd and Evergreen), Night Flight by Angelina Marino-Heidel (3rd and A Ave), PUP by Ben Dye (2nd and Evergreen), and The Snail by Will Jewett (10th at Foothills Park).

The People's Choice award includes the purchase of the art by the city as well as a permanent place in the city's collection. Previous People's Choice awardees include Sunbathers by Ken Patecky, Complement II by Merrilee Moore, and Dependent Arising: Owl and Lemming by Terresa White.
