bgm ART Studio and WOODshop Artist, Craftsman and Photographer Born in Lakeland, FL in 1961, Byron Grady Matteson was encouraged at an early age to begin honing his drawing talent.

At 5 he began taking formal art lessons and continued his artistic pursuits for 14 years. He put down his pencil after high school for college and the business world, enjoying only doodling and specific projects (mostly for his 3 children). Thirty years later, he has found a renewed interest in his talent, and a passion for birds. While they constitute his focus, he enjoys drawing all wildlife and continues to experiment with many topics for his work.
