Art can be about so much more than what we create; it can be an opportunity to connect and belong!
Through Able Arts, students with disabilities have the opportunity to experiment with different art forms while creating alongside their peers in an inclusive, welcoming environment.
One of our regulars, 11-year-old Miranda, hasn’t missed a single Saturday session! Her favorite air-dry clay sculptures have grown into an impressive collection.
Her grandmother, Robin, shared what the program has meant to their family:
“[it] allows our children with unique abilities the chance to participate in a group social activity where they have the opportunity to try new types of art and make friends in a safe place where they can be a part of a group.”
