We’re ecstatic to welcome our youngest art enthusiasts and future artists to The AGB for our brand-new Preschool program, Storytime Studio! Thank you to everyone who registered for these sessions.

Tomorrow is the day! We can't wait to see you at the AGB Museum of Art for "From the Street Corner to the Smithsonian: Florida Landscape Artwork by the Highwaymen," the next installment in our Distinguished Lecture Series, featuring Roger Lightle, a true Highwaymen expert.

Museum galleries will also be open to the public throughout the evening. Browse our current Highwaymen exhibition, "Painting Paradise: The Rise of the Highwaymen," featuring paintings from the Woodsby Family Collection, on the second floor in the Sheryll Strang Gallery.

A new art installation on Florida Southern College campus? Yes, please!

The Center for Student Success at FSC, home to the Honors College and Testing Center, is now also home to 25 works by Eliot O'Hara, an educator and artist best known for his travel-inspired watercolors.

The AGB's Asset Collection includes more than 1,000 works of art that can be exhibited throughout the Florida Southern College campus. Among them are more than 300 watercolors by O'Hara. FSC students can now view 25 of these works in this new installation. When you visit, send us a photo of your favorite!

The next installment of The Director's Book Club is coming in September and you are invited!

Executive Director Dr. Daryl Ward and Heather Culligan, Curator of Collections, will be co-facilitating a discussion on the book "Artifacts" by Natalie Lemle. The discussion will also conclude with a creative exercise.

Join us next Thursday evening and learn about an important chapter in Florida's art history at the next installment of the AGB Museum of Art Distinguished Lecture Series!

"From the Street Corner to the Smithsonian: Florida Landscape Artwork by the Highwaymen" will feature Highwaymen expert Roger Lightle as he discusses the history, artistry, and lasting significance of this influential group of Florida artists.

Andy Warhol, a Pop Art figurehead and household name, bridged the gap between the perceived realms of "high" and "low" art by selecting subject matter that every person in America could relate to.
