A Meandering Path Through Time

From archaeological artifacts to images of the natural world, Field Notes brings together references that span time and place.

The result is an exhibition that encourages us to consider how the past, memory, and our own perceptions shape the way we see the world.

What Does a Landscape Remember?

Rather than documenting a particular place, Eve Biddle uses the language of landscape to explore memory, perception, and presence.

See how these ideas unfold throughout Field Notes, now on view at the Tremaine Gallery through October 18.

Between the Abstract and the Familiar

The natural world takes on an uncertain quality in Eve Biddle's Field Notes. Her images can appear both abstract and literal, alive and lifeless.

Through layering, translation, and physical intervention, Biddle transforms the landscape into something that asks us to look a little longer.

On view through October 18 at the Tremaine Gallery.

Ancient Symbols, New Perspectives

Snakes appear throughout "Field Notes", carrying a long history of symbolism connected to life, fertility, renewal, and eternity.

For Eve Biddle, these ancient references become part of a contemporary exploration of nature, memory, and transformation.

Field Notes is on view at the Tremaine Gallery through October 18.
