The Gallery represents more than 21 artists and their works including prints, photographs, abstract paintings, paintings, sculpture, mixed media and photo mosaics. In 2002, my wife, Susan, had an idea that would allow us to combine our mutual passion and take advantage of the experiences and skills that we individually brought to the table. Based on the principle that fine art deserves to be seen
and without limiting ourselves to any particular type of art, the Gallery has grown and prospered by exhibiting the best of local, regional, national and international artist whose work has enriched our lives as well as the life of our Northwest Connecticut community. From the creation and yearly exhibiting of Housatonic Valley Regional High School art students work (the annual BLUE AND GOLD AT THE WHITE) to free lectures, workshops, concerts and our support of local not-for-profits we have not forgotten the importance of where we work and where we live. In turn, our community has supported us and allowed us to continue even through some very difficult years. For this we are grateful. We want to thank all our artists for allowing us the privilege of exhibiting their work and continuing their association with us these past twelve years as they have grown and prospered. And we have enjoyed supporting their growth and being a part of their successes. People often ask us why we named our Gallery The White Gallery as opposed to using our names. The answer is simple; we have always wanted the Gallery to be about the artists and the art and not about us. I think we have succeeded. None of this would have been possible without the cadre of loyal clients, the support of our local media, the professionalism of our publicist and other support services and the young people that have worked with us and have become more family than employees. We are grateful for all of you. We hope that you will take the time to visit us and continue to help us grow as we will continue to exhibit the artists that you have come to know and, of course, the surprises that we will bring you.
