Our first Cyanotype class of the month is tomorrow! This is a great time to bring in flowers from your garden to make a print of them to remember forever! This class is super chill and great if you aren’t super creative but still want to make something cool! It’s really intuitive and a great process to learn. Since we are losing sunlight (tonight is the last sunset after 8pm 😪) we will be utilizing the UV light to expose our prints.
We have a few spots left for tomorrow’s class, sign up now!

We have some events at Cleveland Museum Natural History and Akron Art Museum coming up! These are all free and family friendly!

We will be at the reopening party for the 1899 Building on September 24th from 12-4 pm. We will have a fun interactive sculpture for guests to engage with! Come check it out!

We also have a monthly residency at The Cleveland Museum of Natural History starting in September. We will be creating and celebrating with fun and educational print projects!

We will post more about each event separately but mark your calendars for these dates now so you don’t miss out!

No trending audio, just testing out some new textured rollers we got for the kids block printing classes!!

Check out our Lego one on Saturday! There’s still some spots left if you want to sign your young artist up! This class is great for kids ages 6-10.
Grown ups can stay and hang out during class or drop off, totally up to you!

So excited for this event with Cleveland Metroparks Saturday August 1 at the Watershed Stewardship Center

We designed a poster for Bug Bonanza with lots of bugs that can be found in the Metroparks! We will be live screen printing the poster and everyone can color their poster to customize it!
Come check out this fun event!
We will be live printing from 10:30 to 12:30 but we will have more prints for you to color if you miss the printing part.

Start summer out on a creative note with us! We have two pop ups and some fun classes at the studio coming up.

This Thursday we will be at live screen printing bandanas! You can print them and then customize with fabric markers!
on Saturday we have our monthly pop up with the where we have drop in art on the 3rd floor of the museum. This month’s theme is Astronomy!
Then on the 16th we have a loom weaving class at the studio. Super chill and relaxing after a long day at work. We teach you how to make a decorative wall hanging with natural fibers.

This week we had a workshop doing screen printing and we also got to do cyanotypes! Everyone got so creative and really got into the process. I showed them how to use drawing fluid and screw filler to make a screen and we cut out stencils by hand also. We did mono prints with watercolor crayons and mixed colors for split fountain prints. We all printed a tote bag with a spring design also!

We have two spots left for our kids block Printing class next Sunday the 26th.
We use Lego tiles and carve into foam to create amazing block prints! It’s great for all ages! The younger kids learn motor skills and dexterity. The older kids develop their creativity! Art encourages risk-taking and experimentation, boosting confidence as students bring ideas to life and learn to embrace mistakes.

.latham was at for our monthly program Family Canvas: Art and Nature. This month we were doing Indigo dye with some tote bags provided for us! It’s been so great working with both MOCA and the Metroparks on this monthly series. We are excited for next month’s theme, which is water! Come check us out the first Saturday of every month from 12 to 2:30!
