“I evoke an emotion using spatial dimension, atmosphere, and defining architecture. There are many paintings within the painting. Typically, there is not just one straightforward view, but many spatial directions and abstractions of space to move through. I am interested more in a journey through the space and paint than a particular fixed image. I create a space that the viewer is free to roam around in. There are no figures in the paintings because I want the figures in the paintings to be the viewer.” —Michael Bartmann

My dear piano received some love today with a special visit from .art and his wonderful father, who gave it a little check-up. Although we didn't tune it (yet), he played a piece he composed, and it sounded wonderful. The piece is just gorgeous.

Since I was thirteen, I have been working in creative industries, welcoming people, connecting through a shared love, and enjoying conversations.

Saturday evenings are always a time of great reflection and gratitude. Thank you to all who shared time this week, fell in love with the gallery and the artists, and chose to carry a piece of that experience home with them through the artwork collected.

Internal Echo
This body of work is inspired by old industrial spaces with numerous histories. I continue to explore themes of transition and suspension that infuse my work.

A central focus remains on the windows—those thin, translucent planes that serve as both barriers and conduits between interior and exterior worlds. Pushing against this duality, I aim to capture moments when the boundary dissolves: feeling the outside landscape pour in while simultaneously being drawn through the window, into the cityscape beyond. At other times, the architectural space reveals streams of natural light that bathe the interior, casting silhouettes and shadows to evoke a transformed space—a dynamic dialogue between light and dark; states of abandonment and transition.

Some works lay the windows flat on the ground, creating an entirely new dimension—a portal open to multiple perspectives. These shifting planes invite viewers to pause, reflect, and navigate the space between observation and immersion. Ultimately, each piece becomes a sacred space for contemplation—an intersection where time, space, and perception converge, encouraging us to consider the transitions that define both architecture and experience.
