The Decorative Arts Center of Ohio in Lancaster will offer "Edith Head and Company - Costumes and Jewelry 1924-2015" To include designs by Edith Head, Travis Banton, Irene Lentz and others, May 21-August 14, 2016. The exhibition, will feature costumes and jewelry from the Paramount Pictures Archives. Edith Head is one of the most recognizable names in film fashion history. During her 60 year care

er she worked on over 1,000 films, garnered 35 Academy Award nominations and won 8 - a record that has not been broken. During her unprecedented 43-years at Paramount Pictures, Edith Head designed many of the iconic costumes worn by Barbara Stanwyck, Loretta Young, Betty Hutton, Veronica Lake, Joan Fontaine and Dorothy Lamour – just to name a few. Not only was she a talented designer, but a savvy business woman as well. Edith Head was one of the first women in Hollywood to “brand” herself through radio, best-selling books, magazine articles, clothing patterns and frequent television appearances.
