History is always, not just yesterday, last year, 100 years ago. Communities are built, and they do fade, and then for some people fading is not an option...and new history is made:)
Downing has a lot of history to lavish in, and now new memories will be made as the buildings are being revived!

From March of 1976, that's 50 years ago if you had to think about it, there was a full page write up announcing a program and supper all about soil and water conservation in the county. It says a lot about the approach to farming at the time.
