Hey Friends, Clients, and Family! I desperately need your help with spreading the word that we NEED sponsors! As you know, I am the Director of Development for the Adoption Center, a nonprofit organization on a mission to build permanent families, communities, and connections for youth in foster care. Families and agencies throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware turn to us for resources that make the adoption process more accessible. Our programs help youth in foster care who want supportive connections and families who want to grow and find each other. Many of these youth are hard to place and sometimes disabled. We are truly filling a gap in the system and we need your help! We believe that families come in all forms and proudly serve people from all socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, and people with disabilities.

Join us on September 30, 2023 at our Bowling Fundraiser…

Every strike sparks a little victory for youth in the foster care system!

We are reaching out with important updates in reference to the Samuel Staten, Sr. Charitable Trust’s 21st Annual Charity Golf Classic being held at Spring Mill Country Club on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. This year’s honoree is Mr. Michael J. Barnes, Business Manager IATSE Local 8 Philadelphia. We wanted to make sure that everyone understands the changes that had to be made this year due to the pandemic.

We are determined to have a great event and continue to prove that “Organized Labor Makes A Difference in our Community!” despite our annual event looking different this year due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

Our event will be held completely outdoors this year. Please dress accordingly. Masks will be required while traveling throughout the event location when you are not consuming food or beverage and/or can maintain social distancing at 6 feet. Those participating golfers will have to share a golf cart with one other participant.

Unfortunately, we will not be having the dinner only participation option this year. We are only able to accommodate individuals who signed up as golfers and we even had to cap that number significantly lower than we do other years. Therefore, only golfers and our volunteers may attend. If you know someone else that would benefit from this knowledge, please forward this message to them.

For those of you who can't attend, we will be posting an electronic version of this years' ad book. It will also be featured on our page (please like and follow us!) and our website (www.statencharitabletrust.org).

At the conclusion of golf, we will tally the scores and present our winners with their prizes.

Please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding during these trying times. Despite the pandemic, we are continuing to prove that ORGANIZED LABOR MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY!
