Lansing Historical Society

Lansing Historical Society Dedicated to preserving the past of the Village of Lansing, Illinois Each meeting begins with the business portion followed by program and/or speaker.

The Lansing Historical Society meets at the Lansing Public Library in the Community Room on the 4th Monday of the month (except July and August) at 6 p.m. New members are always welcome. Dues are $15 per year for individuals, $25 for a business, professional, organization or institute, $100 for a lifetime member and $5 for a student member. Lansing Historical Society Presents Our Annual "Brides Throughout The Decades" display.
Come see our beautiful collection of wedding gowns from different periods of time. Learn our history through these elegant works of art.
This display will run through the month of August.
Opening night will be Thursday, June 11th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please come by and visit this wonderful look back at our history. We are also celebrating the 50th anniversary of our founding!

Festival of Lights ~ Christmas Around the World ~
Now on display at the Lansing Historical Museum.
Our display features 37 trees from various countries and local organizations. Each tree explains the traditions of each culture.
Our museum is located in the lower level of the Lansing Public Library 2750 Indiana Avenue, Lansing Illinois.
Museum Hours: Monday thru Thursday, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Saturdays, Noon to 3:00 p.m.
It's kinda like the Museum of Science and Industry but FREE!!!
