I made a pretty great scissor lift for a Kinetic Structures class and wanted to show it off. I designed a 2 layer skin that slides onto hooks and locks in place to hold the 8 long rails parallel. The scissor arms are 1 inch wide and 1/4 inch thick; in total 2 scissors both 16 arms wide. The top and middle axles are 1/2" dowels. The 4 pusher axles on bottom are 1/2" steel round rod with hardware welded in the middle; 1 has a left hand nut, 1 a regular right hand nut, and 2 have drilled out centers for pass through with locking nut pairs on either side to hold position.

It's strong enough to hold me. My drill doesn't have power to lift me, so I will be making a gearbox to multiply the torque delivered to the drive axle. Then I plan to make a bolt on drill motor from an old thrift store drill so it has power built in.

Spotlighting a neat set that I put together of Elementals as a Theme Set https://buff.ly/2JkbGeS

I wanted to make a set that had one of each elemental, as well as some tokens for elemental gems. I think they came out pretty great!

This is a great idea that made, a deck of cards to make random dungeons. I've done a couple of games with them and I love them.

If they were at game scale to use minis on them they'd be perfect. But that would require tabloid sized pages for these...
