Send a card to someone.

Giving doesn't have to be extravagant or costly. It can be tiny and heartfelt and possibly make someone's day a lot brighter.

Tried to do a light purple ground and after reworking I don't know how many times, I just went with my standard intense colors. Pastels and light washes are not really my thing, even though I periodically try to buck this because other artists do it so beautifully.

Just gotta accept your gifts and weaknesses and roll with it.
