What a great start to the weekend! The Arts Council of Scotland County is a proud supporter of this weekend’s Suds and Swine BBQ Festival. BBQ sales begin at 11 am in McDuffy Square and the Arts Council has a vendor fair on Main Street until 4 p.m.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Olivia Fitzgerald, the Arts Council’s former Office Manager. Olivia was a valued member of our organization whose dedication, professionalism, and kindness left a lasting impact on colleagues, artists, and community members alike.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Olivia’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working with her. She will be remembered fondly and greatly missed.

A service honoring Olivia’s life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Baumgarner Funeral Home (305 E Church St, Laurinburg, NC)

Our newest mural is complete! This mural will be a great backdrop for our Oban exchange students! Thank you to our local artist, Shaquille Ray for bringing it to life. This is the fourth mural that the Arts Council has sponsored in downtown Laurinburg.
