The thermoluminescence tests conducted on two samples from the Wilcox’s Armed Pig (N. 197) by Oxford Authentications, Ltd. indicated that the clay was fired less then 100 years ago. We are disappointed!

The museum’s famous terracotta Armed Pig will be tested using Thermoluminescence very soon! Stay tuned!
