Layland Miners Memorial March 2, 1915, a horrific explosion in mine #3 roared thru Layland WV killing 112 miners. Blessing was there were 53 survivors!

On March 2, 1915, 112 miners were killed in an early morning blast in the Layland No. 3 mine. Today, we remember these miners, the 53 survivors, rescue workers, and their families.
