West Bay Common School Children's Museum

West Bay Common School Children's Museum Our restored one room school in League City's Historic District takes you back to school in 1898.

When you visit the 1898 Schoolhouse Museum, the schoolmarm brings history to life with an award winning program, that includes a pen & ink lesson, math, spelling and history lesson, reading at the recitation bench, slate lessons and a spelling bee. In the Historic Bus Barn, visitors experience the recess portion of the school day as well as explore the life and times of this once early cattle ranc

hing town through a fascinating display of antiques, artifacts, and hands-on experiences. The Ice house-Barbershop building depicts an early League City business establishment that includes a recorded story with "ghost" images.
