Jonathan Trumbull Jr. House Museum This is the historic home of Jonathan Trumbull Jr. (1740-1809), son of Connecticut's Revolutionary W Jonathan Trumbull Jr.

was secretary to George Washington as well as Governor of Connecticut. He traveled to the Battle of Yorktown in 1781, the last battle of the American Revolution. George Washington did sleep in this house! The house is located on the historic Lebanon green in the center of town. The home and grounds are kept to be as historically accurate to the Revolutionary period as possible. Guided tours are op

I finally made it to the "Simply Splendid" special exhibit at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. It ended on Sunday but it was worth the trip!! We need to replace the portrait on our staircase - it is only part of the whole portrait, which is pictured with Jonathan Trumbull's banyan. The banyan is only about my size, a womans' medium, so he was not very big!!
