House and Senate Approve NPS Designation for Dodona Manor
The Marshall Center is deeply grateful to Congressman Suhas Subramanyam, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine and Senator Mark Warner for their leadership in advancing legislation to designate the George C. Marshall House at Dodona Manor as a National Park Service Affiliated Area.
The legislation, which passed the House and Senate unanimously last week, would make existing NPS resources available to support preservation, accessibility improvements and expanded educational programming at the site.
This milestone advances the preservation of one of America’s most significant leadership landmarks — the home where General George C. Marshall lived from 1941–1959 and continued shaping history through public service, diplomacy and civic leadership.
