🍍Another Golden Pineapple in the books! 🍍

We're proud to share that JBG Painting has been honored with another Golden Pineapple Award for excellent customer service — and this one goes straight to Angie Smock!

In just 4 months, Angie has become the heartbeat of our client relations and estimating. If you've called JBG, gotten a quote, or had a question answered fast and with a smile — that's Angie. She shows up for our clients every single day, and it shows.😃

‼️This award isn't about us. It's about making sure every homeowner and business we work with feels heard, valued, and taken care of from the very first call. Angie makes that happen.
Congrats, Angie — you earned this one. 🖤💛

Be honest — how long has that room been "on the list"?🏠
You know the one. Maybe it's the living room you keep meaning to freshen up. The accent wall you've been picturing for a year. The trim that's looked "fine, I guess" since 2019. Or maybe it's the whole house, and you keep telling yourself "we'll get to it after the holidays."

Here's the thing — after the holidays is exactly when you should get to it.
While everyone else is waiting for spring to start their projects, we're giving early birds a reason to get ahead of the rush: book your painting project for service between November 2026 and January 31, 2027, and get an extra 10% off.
🎨Big project or small, it counts. Repainting the whole interior? We've got you. Just need one room, an accent wall, or the trim finally done? That's exactly what our Painter for a Day service is built for.
❄️Winter isn't a pause button on your to-do list — it's your head start. Book now, and you'll be walking into spring with a home that already feels like the new year, instead of a house that still feels like last year.
So — ready to stop "meaning to" and start "it's done"? Send us a message and let's find your spot on the calendar before the early bird window closes.

🌱 Apparently, We Grow Great Jakes at JBG! 😂🎨

When you plant one good Jake, apparently you get a whole field of them! 🌱

Meet Jake from JBG… and his many, many coworkers. 😂

But there’s a reason Jake is front and center:

🏆 Jake was our JBG Team Member of the Month for August! 🏆

Jake brings a great attitude, hard work, and a commitment to doing the job right—and we’re proud to have him on the JBG team.

Jeremy may have been watering the crop… 🪣🌱

…but Jake is the one who’s been growing! 😎

At JBG Painting, we believe great employees are worth celebrating—and apparently, Jake grows really well around here. 😂

Congratulations, Jake! We’re glad you’re part of the JBG family! 🎉

Your building is talking to your customers before you ever get the chance to. 🗣️

Here's the thing about that quick oil change place you drive by all the time — you know it's their place before you even see the sign. Why? That red trim.
We recently got called out to touch up the trim on a local oil change business, and here's what made us love this project: it wasn't a full repaint. It was targeted. Strategic. The kind of job where you look at a building and think, "this doesn't need everything — it just needs this."

That red trim is their brand. It's how customers spot them from the road, how they know they're in the right place, how they build trust before a single word is spoken. When trim starts fading or chipping, it's not just cosmetic — it's your business quietly telling people "we might be a little worn down" even if that's the last thing that's true.
A few coats of paint later, and that building is back to doing its job: making a great first impression, standing out on brand, and looking like the well-run business it actually is.

‼️Here's what we want every property owner and manager to know: commercial painting doesn't have to mean scaffolding, tarps, and a two-week shutdown. Sometimes it means one afternoon, one color, and a building that suddenly looks cared for again.
So next time you pull into your own parking lot, take a second and really look. What does your building say about your business?
If the answer isn't quite what you want it to be, we'd love to help. We work with commercial properties all over New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender Counties — big projects and small ones alike. Send us a message. Let's figure out what your building needs to say.

What if your home doesn't need more… it just needs the right color in the right place?🏠
We walk into a lot of homes where people are convinced they need a full renovation to love their space again. New floors. New cabinets. Maybe knock down a wall. But more often than not, what a home is actually asking for is much simpler — and much smaller.
‼️Take a kitchen island. Paint every wall around it the same soft neutral, and it disappears into the room. Give it its own color — something a shade or two bolder, something with a little confidence — and suddenly it's not just a countertop with cabinets underneath. It's the heartbeat of the kitchen. The place your eye lands first. The spot where people naturally gather.
‼️Or a fireplace. It's already the architectural focal point of the room — it just doesn't know it yet. The right accent color doesn't compete with it, it completes it. Suddenly it has presence. It looks intentional, like it was always meant to stand out.
‼️And then there are the details most people walk right past every single day — like tray ceilings. It's easy to assume they're "done" once they're painted white and left alone. But a tray ceiling holding a subtle, complementary tone doesn't shout for attention. It just quietly makes the whole room feel more finished, more layered, more considered. Guests won't always know why a room feels so put-together — they'll just feel it.
That's the real secret: transformation doesn't always mean repainting every wall in the house. Sometimes it means identifying the two or three features that already have character — and giving them permission to show it.
This is where most homeowners get stuck. Not because they lack taste, but because choosing the right accent color, and the right place to use it, is genuinely hard to do alone. Too bold and it overwhelms. Too safe and nothing changes. It's a balance — and it's exactly the kind of decision we love helping homeowners work through. Not just "what colors do you like," but "what does this specific room need to feel like the best version of itself."
We recently helped a homeowner do exactly this — a kitchen island, a fireplace, and two tray ceilings, each treated with an intentional accent color. Nothing about the layout changed. Nothing was demoed. But the whole home feels different now. More finished. More personal. More like them.
⁉️So look around your own house for a second. Is there a feature that's just... there? A kitchen island. A fireplace. A ceiling with more character than it's being given credit for. A front door that could say a lot more than "hello."
If you could give ONE feature in your home an accent color, what would it be — the kitchen island, the fireplace, a ceiling, the front door, or something else entirely? Tell us in the comments — we'd love to hear what you're picturing.
If you're curious what a well-placed color could do for your space, that's exactly the kind of conversation we love having. Reach out to JBG Painting and let's find the detail your home has been waiting for.💛🖤

Every once in a while, someone on our team reminds us there's a lot more to them than the job site. Friday, that someone was Mike.
At our regular team meeting, Mike took a few minutes to show everyone something he's been pouring his free time into. And once he started talking about it, the whole room just... stopped. You could hear how much this means to him.
Here's the thing about Mike: by day, he's part of the crew that shows up on your property, roller in hand, making sure your trim lines are crisp. But outside of work? He's got a whole creative side we don't get to see nearly enough — and once we did, we knew we had to share it.
Watch the video and you'll get it immediately. (We tried to act cool about it. We failed.)
We're proud of our people for more than just their work ethic — we love seeing them chase the stuff that lights them up. And right now, Mike's looking for his next stage: local craft shows, markets, fairs, pop-ups, anywhere he could set up a table and show his work to more of this community.
So Wilmington (and beyond) — help us out. If you know an organizer, a market, a fair, or an event that might be a great fit for Mike, we'd love to hear about it.
Know a local craft show, market, or event that would be a good fit for Mike? Drop it in the comments or tag them below!👇

When the boss man isn't busy running JBG he is usually volunteering. This opportunity was to model off designer purses for the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce annual Purse Bash fundraiser👜. But when our crew got ahold of some of the pictures, they showed their creativity with some memes of the boss!🤣 Which one is your favorite? Drop comments below 👇

Some visions take years to build. 🏡✨ This Brunswick Forest family finally said "yes" to theirs.

Plot twist: the paint colors weren't the hard part. The waiting was. 😅🎶

This Brunswick Forest family had "repaint the house" on their list for YEARS. (You know the list. It lives rent-free in your brain right next to "organize the garage.")

Well, they finally crossed it off — and judging by these reveals, we'd say it was worth the wait. 🙌
So... is your house still whispering "someday" to you? Someday could be this week. 👀

Your front door has been holding it down through every storm, every summer sun, every winter freeze — and it's never once asked for a thank you. 🚪💛
This month, we're saying thank you for it. Fresh paint, rich stain, glossy varnish, refreshed shutters — small project, seriously big difference.
👉 Comment the color you'd choose for YOUR front door
👉 Tag a friend whose door needs a little JBG love
May your door be the best-dressed door on the block. 🌸
