Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio

Frelinghuysen Morris House & Studio New England's first Modernist structure was built by artists Suzy Frelinghuysen & George L.K. Morris,the Studio in 1931, the house in 1941.

They championed American Abstract art and collected the 20th century's greatest including Picasso & Leger.

Your chance to see a rare George L.K.Morris work which was included in American Abstract Artist's annual exhibition in New York City in 1954. In this piece, entitled "Nocturnal Convergence" , Morris experimented with perspective and recession to create the illusion of breaking into the picture plane.
This work is on view at Debra Force Gallery 13 East 69th street suite 4F in New York City until March 13th! Catch you there!!

We are keeping busy in the off season! 
1. Drone surveillance of the main house and studio, to monitor the snow
2. Local contractors busy at work restoring areas of the house. This off-season we are reinforcing some of the floors, and structural beams in over the restrooms
3. Monitoring humidity inside of the house. Excess water and moisture can harm the frescos and glass block walls in the house
4. Applying for local grants to help support our mission
5. Restoring our collection. We partner with local conservation centers to see our paintings cared for
