Welcome to the Peninsula Gallery, one of the largest fine arts galleries in Delaware with 3,000 sq. of exhibition and framing space. The gallery, currently in its 20th year, is located in the shops at the Beacon Motel, on East Savannah Rd. in historic Lewes Delaware. We feature over 25 local and regional artists showing their work on a continuing basis. In addition, we provide an exhibition space for monthly shows which allows us to bring visiting artists' work to the area. We also offer fine art framing using the finest archival materials. Our goal is to provide the complete artistic experience. The gallery has three expressed purposes. To provide exhibit space for over twenty local and regional artists. To have frequent exhibitions of our resident and visiting artists. To provide Fine Art and Framing.

🌟 We love Sherri Neale’s Beachstars!

After retiring as an educator in Virginia, Sherri was introduced to the joy of discovering pieces of glass tumbled smooth by the ocean in Rehoboth Beach. She began hunting the Delaware shores for more glass, eventually creating these beautiful suncatching, glass stars!

Tania Dibbs currently has a solo exhibition in our gallery, and our history with Tania goes far back!

In 1998, while vacationing in San Antonio, Texas, Peninsula Gallery owners, Tony and Carol Boyd-Heron, came across a grand 5-foot landscape painting depicting an ethereal, winding road. The couple, so moved by the image, purchased the piece. Crafted by Tania Dibbs, this painting, titled “The Road to the Future,” was instrumental in paving the path that the Boyd-Heron’s business and life would take. As a result of their purchase, Tony and Carol invited Tania to have a solo exhibition in their gallery, which became one of the first major showcases they mounted. The success of this show earned the Peninsula Gallery a reputation for representing high-quality fine art and providing opportunities for artists all across the country.

To celebrate our 30th anniversary, we are bringing Tania’s work back to Lewes for the first time since 2006, honoring the artist who put the gallery on its “road to the future.” Over the years, Tania’s work has evolved from low landscapes and big horizons to a new, varied approach that combines impressionism and abstraction. Clients who know Tania’s work from the past will be thrilled to see how her style has changed, while new patrons will appreciate her skilled approach to color theory and composition.

As the season turns to fall, Joe Milligan's atmospheric paints begin to remind us of sweater weather and chilly walks on the beach!

Joe recently brought in this new collection of watercolors, featuring buoys, ships, and lighthouses. The pieces share a palette of warm umber and cool blue, which make the pieces all work together as a coherent collection. Purchasing multiple paintings is a great way to fill an empty space or start a gallery wall.
