Today we celebrated Memorial Day by honoring the 76 veterans buried in the Lewiston Village Cemetery by unveiling a monument with their names on it and wars they fought in. This is another of Village Historian Russ Piper’s projects to keep the memories of the people resting in our cemetery alive. A special thank you to Mayor Anne Welsh and the Village Board who have supported his efforts for all of his projects and to the many people that have donated money and time to make them happen.
