Look closely: behind the 1872 image of the passenger station at Lewistown Junction you can see the covered bridge over the Juniata to Lewistown. It was both a road and rail bridge at that time; it was destroyed in 1874 by a tornado (yes, it's kinda small so you have to zoom in). The bridge was subsequently rebuilt as a rail-only bridge using the same stone piers, and a new road bridge known as the Iron Bridge was built at Market Street which remained in use until the 1924 Memorial Bridge was constructed.
